What We believe

Teaching God's Word in such a way as to encourage a life of obedience to God and to bring people to maturity in their faith in Christ. Gateway Faith Fellowship seeks to minister to the people of the greater Gateway Area by providing oppurtunities for spiritual, educational, social, and community growth and development.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the authoritative and inspired Word of God. It is the absolute standard for faith, life and behavior for all who would seek to know God and follow Christ.

We believe in the one triune God, the Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, who is eternally existant, all knowing, all powerful and present in all places earthly and heavenly.

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, who was conceived by The Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He was from the beginning with God and in fact is God. He came to earth to save the world rather than to condemn the world through His death, burial, and resurrection.

Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit as the eternal third person of the Trinity. He has always been active in the works of God, in creation and in His dealings with man. He is present in the world to convict us of sin and draw us to Himself. he is our Counselor and Guide to truth, who dwells within us and empowers God's people.

Making Disciples of Christ

Am I saved? (click "Answer" after each question)

How can I be sure I am going to heaven?
Romans 10:9 - If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.
But I'm a good person, isn't that enough?
Romans 3:23 - All Have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 6:23 says the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord
Well I believe in God, and I was raised in the church, surely that counts for something?
James 2:19 - You believe that there is one God, you do well, even the demons believe and tremble.

Jesus said in Matthew 7:21-23, "Many will say to me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers."

God desires a relationship with you.
Well I admit, I've done some bad stuff in my life, will God forgive me?
1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

When Jesus died on the cross, it was for all of our sins, great and small.
Ok, I never really prayed before. What do I do?
Talk to God, Go to a quiet place if you can and begin to ask Him for forgiveness. Let the words come from your heart, He knows your thoughts, but likes to hear your voice. Ask Him to be Lord of your life and thank Him for His Son Jesus' sacrifice on the cross.
